CUCC is a welcoming community of spiritual seekers, with an ever-evolving progressive view of the Holy, that is actively engaged in building a world with justice for all creation and part of how we do live this out is an ongoing commitment to showing up. We show up one another, for ourselves, for the earth and for a world with more justice and love. We have opportunities to connect for fun and for spiritual growth and as well as opportunities to volunteer that are both longer term higher commitments as well as chances to show up once and share your time.

Boulder Church Commits $40,000 to San Lazaro Effort

Boulder, CO— August 14, 2026
Today, Community United Church of Christ, a progressive Christian church based in South Boulder, is announcing that it is committing $40,000 to support the residents of the San Lazaro mobile home park in their effort to purchase the property to prevent an investor from buying the park. Boulder County has a law which gives mobile home residents 120 days to purchase the land themselves, which is what the residents are actively pursuing.
San Lazaro is home to more than 800 residents who have built their lives here and are our neighbors, co-workers and friends. This site is among the few areas in Boulder that offers affordable housing and CUCC wants to help protect it.
“As people of faith, we believe that it is our job collectively to ensure everyone in Boulder has a place to live. To us, church is a verb and love calls us to action, especially in a time like this,” Rev. Nicole Lamarche, Lead Pastor of CUCC said. Founded in the 1960’s along with the Table Mesa neighborhood, Community UCC has been actively engaged in making the world better from the beginning. “We are a committed group of people that never gives up on doing good,” Linda Woods, longtime CUCC member said. “We hope to inspire others to join us!”

Recovery Cafe

Since June 2025, we have been engaged in a collaborative effort welcoming Recovery Café Longmont to CUCC every Wednesday evening. From 5-8 p.m. we meeting, starting with puzzles, socializing, coloring and more and then share a meal, followed by Recovery Circles. This is a community effort!
