.At Community UCC, we hold a special place for kids and youth! We offer a safe space for children of all ages and abilities to play, have fun and grow on their spiritual journey. We have a playground, a labyrinth, a little library, a large site with a garden next to South Boulder Creek and inside we offer classrooms designed to safely connect and explore the inner and outer world in a progressive Christian context. Kids bring your parents!

Sunday School

We start together in worship and after the Story for All Ages, we offer a fun, supervised time of play with an activity aligned with our spiritual theme. When the weather allows, the kids enjoy our playground, our donation food garden, our creek, our trees and our labyrinth. We welcome kids of all abilities, learning styles, gender orientation and expression. Whoever you are, you are welcome here!​​​​
This Week 9/6
Our Gifts Gardens Continue!!
This past Sunday, the kids and youth continued working on our Gifts Gardens from last week, and we’re super excited to hang them up around the church! Be on the lookout for them, and if you made your own Gifts Garden last week, please bring it on Sunday. I’m sure the kiddos would love to see that you’re participating alongside them!
We also had a wonderfully honest conversation about bullying, inspired by Nicole’s sermon from Sunday. We talked about some of the things people might tease us for... being small, being tall, being queer, being neurodivergent, being very talkative... and noticed something very important: the things people tease us for are our strengths!
I was especially proud to see how supportive the children were of one another during this conversation. They listened, encouraged each other, and cracked jokes to offer some hope.
I’m so excited to keep building on that message as we move into Fall! The differences we hold are part of what makes our community strong.
