The CUCC Social Action Commission coordinates our church’s giving to those in need. Through the UCC’s OCWM program (Our Church’s Wider Mission) and Special Offerings, our church joins with other UCC congregations in mission and ministry to our nation and the world.
Social Action educates the congregation through Mission Moments and a “Nonprofit of the Month” bulletin board. The Commission also organizes an annual “Stuffraiser” to benefit a local nonprofit and holds food and clothing drives to help address the basic needs of individuals in our community.
Social Action supports our global community through annual participation in the CROP Walk and by hosting an annual Alternative Gift Market of fair-trade goods from around the world.
