Tao Te Ching
#8
The Tao – The Way of God
Teaches us to flow like water
This is the way to goodness
It is the pattern of God
Water gives life
It is a source
But it does not ask for anything back
It does not struggle or compete
It flows everywhere
Even low places (especially low places)
Places that people avoid
So it is like God – (the Tao)
We should learn from water
Accept where we are and who we are
Live close to the land
Meditate – go deep into the heart
Be kind and gentle with others
Do not try to control them
Flow around
Find a way without violence
and you will wear down the opposition
Water never fights
It flows without harm
And this wears down and wins in the end
Don’t compete
Be yourself
Everyone will respect you
