Taizé Service
What is Taizé?
Taize is a style of worship that originated at an ecumenical monastery in Taize, France after WWII. It is a quiet, meditative service with repetitive chanting songs, prayers, guided meditation and communion. For more information, see Wikipedia's entry on Taizé.
Who is it for?
Taizé is for everyone. Visitors may attend just the Taizé service at 8:30. Sometimes, this early service fits people's schedule better. Others like to attend both the Taizé service and the 10 am service as well. Childcare is provided, but older children are welcome at Taizé.
Organizing Taizé
The Taizé planning committee meets monthly on Friday mornings and welcomes new members. Currently we are Lu Walters, Harriott Quin, Julie Parmenter, Anne Carson and Pete Terpenning. Join us!
