Our Community UCC gives regularly to OCWM, which is organized by the cental UCC office.
Garage Sale 2006
The church garage sale was a huge success this year, raising a record $3,375.60, which was given to Our Church’s Wider Mission. Many people contributed items to sell, and many volunteered their time. The organizers were Kris Zbranek, Sue Hagedorn, and Sally Burlingame. Other volunteers were Julia Hansford, Jamie Paul, Jackie Massey, Diane and Jennifer Martin, Pat and Kelly Gilbert, Pete Terpenning, Kathy and Shannon Leftwich, Vicki Tonski, Michael Chase, Linda Krumpeck, Deborah Hayes, Jo Eleanor Elliott, Harriott Quin, Jake Cramer, Julie Kies, Frank Ciskovsky, Joyce Robertson, Elizabeth and Ella Wrenn, Joe Runyan, Marilyn Zimmerman, Joyce Wilson, Karen Luallen, Lynn Allison, Kayrene Pearson, Paul Dial, Cathy Hazouri, Kathy Rudge, Jean Scott, and Eileen Moore. Thank you all for your dedication to this cause. Sorry if I missed anyone. Thanks also to the Youth Group, led by Laura Terpenning, who raised $87.80 through their bake sale, with half going towards O.C.W.M. and half for the Youth Group.
National UCC - " Our Church’s Wider Mission is the name we use to describe the work we do as the United Church of Christ beyond the local church–through our Conferences, national ministries, and UCC-related institutions. Our Church’s Wider Mission is also the name we give to the financial support given by UCC members and congregations that makes this broader mission possible.
