Outreach
One of the remarkable aspects of our small church is the vast amount of service and resources that members of this community give to the wider community. In addition to the projects listed below, people of this congregation dedicate their working lives to making the world a better place.
Some of the Outreach Projects done by members of this church include:

Faith without Works Is Dead “What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but do not have works? Can faith save you?” ~ James 2:14
|
|
Our congregation lives out our faith in action
by supporting:
- People by sharing our joys and concerns,
by conducting prayer vigils.
- Families by fostering connectedness
and providing intergenerational activities.
- Community by working with organizations
and by making our church facilities available
to schools and other congregations.
- Nation by our letter writing on a
variety of issues.
- The World by supporting refugees from Bosnia and Sudan, helping in Ethiopia, and sending warm clothing to Siberia.
- The Earth by acting as stewards of
Mother Earth.

SHARE-A-GIFT: Share-A-Gift needs
new and gently used unwrapped toys to distribute to needy
families at the holiday season. Parents will select gifts
for their children at the Toy Shop held December 21 and
22 at 5675 Arapahoe. The beauty of this program is that
everyone benefits - the dignity of the recipient families
is respected, family holiday financial tension is reduced,
and loved toys find new homes! There will be a box at the
back of the sanctuary after Thanksgiving for collections.
If you have any questions, or would like to get more involved,
call Tom Corrigan at 303-591-1235, or Trude Kleess at 303-818-7676.

COMMUNITY FOOD SHARE:
Members of our congregation help Community

distributes food to those in need.

HEIFER PROJECT:
Our congregation has held a Living Gift Market to raise
money to buy various animals through the Heifer
Project. By donating livestock to needy people around
the world, the Heifer Project helps hungry families feed
themselves. At the heart of Heifer's philosophy is the commitment
families make to "pass on the gift," by sharing
one or more of their animal's offspring with other families
in need. Helping others ensures dignity and multiplies the
benefits of the original gift from generation to generation.

CROP WALK: A big THANK YOU to our walkers, sponsors, and prayers raised for a successful CROPWALK. We have raised thousands of dollars to alleviate hunger locally and around the world. "We Walk Because They Walk."
